A 9-mile high-speed chase ended in a crash in Wyoming on Friday and led to the arrest of a Colorado Springs man who police say kidnapped his wife and two children Thursday.

Al Johnson, 27, reportedly forced Jaime Johnson, 23, into a 1998 Cadillac. Near Casper about 3 p.m. Friday, a person following the sedan, who had seen news reports of the alleged kidnapping, called authorities.

State troopers chased the Cadillac until it crashed into another vehicle. No one was seriously injured, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The couple’s 3-week-old infant and Johnson’s 8-year-old daughter were in the car.
