A man showed tellers what appeared to be a green hand grenade during a hold up at the Bank of the West, 7310 E. Arapahoe Road, at 9:40 a.m. today, according to the FBI.
FBI special agent Dave Joly said the man walked into the bank, displayed the grenade and handed a note to a teller.
After giving the note to the teller, the suspect retrieved it, said Joly.
The man was described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, in his mid 60s with a white beard.
He was wearing a khaki jacket, white shirt and blue baseball cap.
Joly said the suspect fled in a Green Ford Explorer.
