A former Colorado Department of Transportation worker and two other men are facing organized crime charges for allegedly stealing fuel and reselling it.
A Denver Grand Jury today indicted former CDOT heavy equipment operator Jaime Perez, 39, a , Asuncion Aguirre-Barron, 40, and Fernando Ibarra-Gonzalez, 42.
Perez is accused of replicating state fuel cards and providing them to Ibarra-Gonzalez and Aguirre-Barron, who used them to buy “large amounts” of diesel fuel, then reselling it to truck drivers, according to the charges against them.
All three remain in the Denver County Jail. Bond for Perez is $750,000, and $500,000 each for Ibarra-Gonzalez and Aguirre-Barron.
