State regulators took no action Wednesday on a bid by a University of Colorado dental professor to reinstate his license.
It was the third month in a row that the Board of Dental Examiners did not take action on the application of Dr. Randal James to restore his license to “active” status.
James treated patients and supervised students at a university dental clinic in Aurora with an “inactive” state license since 2004 — a practice allowed under an exception in state law until last August.
A Denver Post investigation found that James continued to treat patients even after the law change in August that prohibited someone with an inactive license from practicing at the school.
