The multisport event features 6-, 12- and 24-hour courses in inflatable kayaking, mountain biking, trekking/navigation, Tyrolean traverse and orienteering. Bike Film Fest needs entries.

Entries are being accepted for the fourth annual Bike Shorts Film Fest, which is June 23 at the University of Colorado. Entries can range from 30 seconds to 30 minutes and must have a bike connection, with Colorado- or Boulder-produced films preferred. Young amateurs welcomed.

The Gatorade Free Flow Tour is looking for top amateur (21 and younger) skaters and BMX riders. The tour includes 47 contests at 30 parks, including skate park, skate vert and BMX park events at the Woodward Denver park June 26-27. Winners in each of the 47 contests will be flown to the finals, taking place in conjunction with the Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge from Sept. 16-19 in Salt Lake City. The two overall skate champions and the two BMX champs will compete vs. the pros at the final stop of the Dew Tour season, Oct. 14-17 in Las Vegas. Bike Pikes Peak.

The Pikes Peak Highway will close to motor vehicles Aug. 29 and give way to bicyclists for the inaugural Assault on the Peak ride. Cyclists will ascend 6,360 vertical feet to the 14,115-foot summit. The event is open to men and women ages 18 and older and limited to the first 1,500 to register. For more information, visit .
