A judge sentenced a 26-year-old Greeley man to 48 years in prison for the stabbing death of a teenager at a Longmont park last year.

The sentence given to Raymond “Mike” Palomino on Friday was the maximum he could receive for his second-degree murder conviction in February in Boulder County district court. Prosecutors say Palomino stabbed 19-year-old Logan Sisson after an argument at a party escalated into a fight. A female friend of Palomino’s testified Palomino stabbed the teen after she and another woman got into a scuffle with Sisson in the park.
