The owner of Pipkin Mortuary has been charged with felony theft for allegedly not returning $10,000 to a deceased woman’s family.
Mark Pipkin, 54, was charged Monday by the Denver district attorney’s office.
Earlier this year, state officials placed the mortuary on three years of probation after it mixed up two bodies and buried a woman in the wrong casket and grave in January.
