BOULDER, Colo.—Nearly 6,000 University of Colorado students on the Boulder campus are getting their degrees during spring graduation ceremonies.

Commencement begins Friday morning at Folsom Field.

John Wood, founder of the international nonprofit “Room to Read,” will deliver the commencement speech.

If the weather is bad, the ceremony will be shortened but still go on outdoors. The forecast is for mostly sunny skies and a high near 58.

CU will award 4,530 bachelor’s degrees, 850 master’s degrees, 175 law degrees and 270 doctoral degrees.
