A “toast and celebration” to honor Chips Barry, who died Sunday, will be held at 4:30 p.m. May 21 at the Wells Fargo Theatre in the Colorado Convention Center.
It is open to the public.
Barry, 66, was killed when the tractor he was driving fell on him at his farm in Hawaii.
Barry had planned to retire in July from his job as manager of Denver Water, a job he had for 19 years. A retirement party was scheduled for May 21.
For several years, Barry owned a macadamia nut farm and planned to retire there.
