California-based warehouse grocer Smart & Final will hold a job fair in Denver to fill 500 positions for the new SmartCo Foods grocery chain opening this summer.
The event will be May 20-21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Denver East Stapleton, 3333 Quebec St.
SmartCo will occupy five vacant Albertsons stores, including two in Denver and one each in Littleton, Centennial and Longmont. Each store will employ about 100 full- and part-time workers.
