LOS ANGELES — A federal judge in Orange County has appointed a slate of attorneys to battle Toyota Motor Corp. in the hundreds of lawsuits surrounding its vehicles’ sudden-acceleration problems.
U.S. District Judge James Selna on Friday appointed four attorneys to head up two committees, one dealing with wrongful-death claims and the other for economic loss. Three of the attorneys are from California; the other is from Washington state.
