NEW YORK — Yankees designated hitter Nick Johnson will have surgery on his right wrist, the most serious of a rash of injuries that have plagued the team this season and have forced manager Joe Girardi to get creative with his lineups.
Catcher Jorge Posada (foot) and outfielder Nick Swisher (biceps) also were out of Monday night’s game against Boston.
“The only thing you can do as a manager is play the parts you got,” Girardi said.

Francona said Cameron could play a rehab game Wednesday at Double-A Portland (Maine).
