Blink and you’ll miss him
Saturday. Epic rock. What’s most uncanny about Angels & Airwaves — Tom DeLonge’s hiatus band when he’s not reunited with his blink-182 brethren — is how the group sounds so similar to blink, even though they’re stylistically separated by miles. True, DeLonge’s vocals are distinctive, but apparently his songwriting structure is an equally potent tell. Don’t believe us? Download Angels & Airwaves latest, “Love,” for free on the band’s website. (Seriously: It’s been offered as a free/pay-what-you-can download since its release on Valentine’s Day.) Or see for yourself when the band plays the Fillmore Auditorium. Say Anything opens the show. Tickets, $26, are available at . Ricardo Baca
