Colorado’s mountain casinos posted a 21 percent increase in revenue in April compared with the same month a year ago, according to Division of Gaming data.
The industry reported adjusted gross proceeds, which is total bets minus payouts, of $62.7 million in April, up from $51.6 million in April 2009.
The majority of the surge came in Black Hawk, which posted revenue of $47.2 million, up from $37.1 million a year ago. Cripple Creek casinos had revenue of $10.5 million, up from $9.9 million in 2009; and Central City casinos posted nearly $5 million, up from $4.6 million.
