DENVER—Denver International Airport is revamping procedures so it knows promptly when Colorado regulators have revoked or canceled operating permits of limousine companies.
The website says its review showed that permits of about 10 percent of limo firms listed on the airport’s website had been revoked, canceled or were in danger of losing insurance coverage. The airport has listed as many as 200 limo companies on its site.
Airport spokeswoman Sally Covington says inquiries prompted by the report revealed that the airport wasn’t automatically notified when a company loses its permit from the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Covington says the airport needs to know so it can revoke companies’ security badges.
