DENVER—A federal judge has sentenced a man to nine years and two months in prison for armed bank robberies in Grand Junction, Colo., and Las Vegas.

The judge also ordered 25-year-old Douglas Edward James to pay $27,641 in restitution to the banks. His prison term is to be followed by five years of supervised release.

James was accused of robbing two banks in Grand Junction and one in Las Vegas last year.
