A 13-year-old girl was critically injured this afternoon when she turned into the path of a car in Longmont, police said,
Her name was not released. Police said that just before 1 p.m., the girl was pedaling her bicycle near Mountain View Avenue and Fordham Street when she turned sharply to the left into the path of Chrysler Town & Country automobile driven by a 70-year-old Longmont man.
She was rushed to Longmont United Hospital, and later transferred to a Denver area hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
