Three times in the past week and a half a man in Wheat Ridge has tried unsuccessfully to get young girls to go with him, police said today.
In each case the man has used a story about a lost puppy, then asks the girls personal questions, police said.
Each of the children has been between 7 and 10 years old.
The man is described as white but tanned, 45-55 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build and short, but balding hair.
Children were approached in the 4300 block of Field Street, the 11700 block of West 34th Avenue, and the 3900 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
Anyone has information can call Wheat Ridge police at 303-235-2947.
