COLORADO SPRINGS — An armed man who was shot and killed by a Colorado Springs police officer Friday night has been identified as Gregory Burns, 27. Burns was under investigation when he was killed by a uniformed officer at the Greentree Village Apartments on North Carefree Circle near Academy Boulevard, police said. Police have not given details on the investigation that led up to the shooting.
