The U.S. Postal Service has named Mark Talbott, 51, Denver’s 34th postmaster, following in the footsteps of such luminary Coloradans as silver king Horace Tabor and former Denver Mayor Benjamin Stapleton.
Talbott will oversee delivery, retail and customer-service operations for the state’s largest post office, which has 1,475 employees who work out of 30 Denver-area stations, branches and other offices and deliver an estimated 2.1 million pieces of mail each day to about 470,000 homes and businesses.
