STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.—Steamboat Springs police say officers have found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds after entering a home.
Police say the gunshot wounds appear to be self-inflicted and that the woman was shot in the head and the man in the chest. Authorities say they entered the home Friday morning after one of the women’s co-workers asked for a welfare check. Police say officers yelled her name from outside the home before hearing a gunshot.
The man and the woman were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police say both were breathing and conscious when officers found them.
