A 20-year-old Denver man faces attempted murder and other charges in the June 7 shooting of cab driver in an attempted robbery, the District Attorney’s Office said today.

Emmanuel Theus-Roberts was found hiding by a police dog in the 3100 block of Race Street after the shooting, prosecutors said.

The 44-year-old cab driver was shot once in the chest and remains in critical condition.

Roberts is being held on $1 million bond in the Denver Detention Center. He also faces first-degree assault, aggravated robbery and second-degree assault charges.
