DENVER—A group of injured military veterans cycling from the Golden Gate Bridge to Virginia Beach is passing through Colorado.
Riders on the 4,000-mile Sea to Shining Sea trek, sponsored by State Farm, started their journey last month.
After riding through western Colorado earlier this week, they were visiting Colorado Springs on Thursday. Organizers say Gov. Bill Ritter could be joining them for part of the bike ride Friday. The group plans to reach Virginia Beach on July 24.
Organizers say the ride is showing what disabled Americans can accomplish.
Other companies and the nonprofit group World T.E.A.M. Sports also are supporting the ride.
