Black Hawk casinos posted an 11 percent gain in revenue in May compared with a year ago, while casinos in Cripple Creek and Central City reported declines of 3 percent and 4 percent, respectively.

Overall, the state’s mountain casinos saw a 7 percent increase in revenue in May, reporting adjusted gross proceeds — total bets minus payouts — of nearly $67 million in May.

Black Hawk’s 18 casinos posted $49.2 million in revenue, Cripple Creek’s 15 casinos had $11.9 million and Central City’s six casinos had $5.5 million.
