The Federal Trade Commission has approved the sale of a Whole Foods store in Boulder to a group of natural-product industry veterans, including a co-founder of Alfalfa’s.
The FTC on Friday approved Boulder-based A-M Holdings LLC acquiring the Whole Foods store at 1651 Broadway, once the location of the first Alfalfa’s Market.
The store was among locations Whole Foods agreed to divest to resolve the FTC’s concerns over its merger with Boulder-based Wild Oats Markets Inc. Wild Oats previously acquired Alfalfa’s Market.
