FORT CARSON, Colo.—About 120 Army recruits are being sworn in by the commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division in a ceremony at Fort Carson.
Maj. Gen. David G. Perkins will preside at the ceremony Saturday, immediately after the post dedicates a monument to the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
The ceremony is part of Iron Horse Week, Fort Carson’s celebration of the Army’s 235th anniversary.
The ceremony is being coordinated by the Denver Recruiting Battalion.
