“She’s Out of My League”

** (out of 4)

Sweet-spirited and well-acted, this takes the loser guy-hot girlfriend cliche around the block a few more times. There are a few sensitive scenes, but it’s the blasts of raunchy that deliver its laughs. Jay Baruchel plays Kirk, just witty enough we can almost believe that the stunning Alice Eve would give him the time of day after she leaves her phone at airport security and he chivalrously delivers it to her at a swanky party. R. 1 hour, 44 minutes. Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel

“Green Zone”

** 1/2 (out of 4)

As Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, Matt Damon proves a hero we can believe in. Too bad his two-time “Bourne” director, Paul Greengrass, doesn’t believe in the audience. This thriller about political mendacity in Iraq was inspired by a book by former Washington Post bureau chief Rajiv Chandrasekaran. From the get-go, Greengrass resorts to blockbuster tricks — breakneck editing, restless camera work, tin-eared dialogue — to revisit the futile search for Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction. Greg Kinnear, Brendan Gleeson, Amy Ryan and Khalid Abdalla also star. R. 1 hour, 44 minutes. Lisa Kennedy
