A pickup truck ran off a road in the Devil’s Gulch area of Larimer County this morning, crashing into a propane tank and forcing the evacuation of some nearby residents.
The driver of the truck was not injured and the tank did not explode, but the crash did rupture the tank, said Trooper Nate Reid, a spokesman with the Colorado State Patrol.
The accident happened at about 7:45 a.m. on County Road 43 near Estes Park. A hazardous materials team is working the accident scene.
The crash is under investigation.
