The driver of a Jeep Cherokee plowed through the wall of an Adams County business today. There were no injuries in the one-vehicle accident.

The crash happened about 9:40 a.m. at 5211 Pecos St., said Nate Reed, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.

The driver, who works in the building, told investigators her foot slipped off the brake pedal and she mistakenly punched the accelerator.

The Jeep then crashed through a wall and wedged into the building.

“It’s in there pretty good,” Reed said.

An Adams County building inspector has been sent out to look over the crash site and assess whether there’s any serious, long-term structural damage to the building.
