LOVELAND — A 23-year-old man from Loveland drowned during a tubing accident late Sunday on the Big Thompson River, the Larimer County coroner’s office said Monday.
The drowning victim was identified as Curt A. Stevens, who had gone tubing in the Big Thompson near Namaqua Park in Loveland, according to the coroner’s office.
He had been tubing with a friend, but they had become separated.
According to the coroner’s office, an autopsy indicated that Stevens died around 6 p.m. Sunday.
