Megan Fox has been transformed into a married woman.
The “Transformers” star quietly exchanged marriage vows with her long-time beau, actor Brian Austin Green, in a secret ceremony in Hawaii late last week, according to TMZ.
The couple first met on the set of the TV sitcom “Hope and Faith.”
It’s the first marriage for both. Green has an 8-year-old son with actress Vanessa Marcil.
“They had a fairly large wedding, but there were clearly more security people than guests,” a source told Star magazine.
“It was very hush hush. Everyone was sworn to secrecy.”
Fox, 24, and Green, 36, best known for his portrayal of David Silver on the TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210,” are said to be spending their honeymoon at the Four Seasons Hualalai hotel Historic Ka’upulehu, where the wedding took place.
“The place is perfect for a Hollywood wedding,” the source said. “It’s very romantic and scenic. Megan and Brian had already been there for a few days. It seemed like a spur-of- the moment thing. I don’t think it had been planned long.”
Just days earlier Megan had lost her two-carat diamond engagement ring in the Hawaiian sand, according to press reports.
Steve Carell, who recently told BBC Radio that he’s leaving “The Office” after next season, confirmed the “decision” to E! News while he made the red carpet rounds at the premiere of “Despicable Me.”
“I just think it’s time,” the star of the NBC hit told E! Online. “I want to fulfill my contract. When I first signed on I had a contract for seven seasons, and this coming year is my seventh. I just thought it was time for my character to go.”
Of course, this could totally be a bargaining ploy. (Charlie Sheen, anyone?)
Carell thinks “The Office” can go on without him.
“It doesn’t certainly mean the end of the show,” he said. “I think it’s just a dynamic change to the show, which could be a good thing, actually. Add some new life and some new energy … I see it as a positive in general for the show.”
Rob Lowe is taking on a new role: author.
Publisher Henry Holt and Co. says it will release the 46-year-old actor’s memoir in May 2011.
The actor is handling the writing duties on “Stories I Only Tell My Friends,” which details his experiences as an actor and father.
Holt president Stephen Rubin described Lowe’s book as “a mid-career meditation on his four decades as an actor.” Lowe became a teen heartthrob in 1983’s “The Outsiders” and has amassed more than three dozen film credits since then.
He is a star of the ABC drama “Brothers & Sisters” and recently appeared on the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation.”
A Michael Jackson statue in the Czech Republic? Not all Czechs are in favor of the idea.
Thousands of Czechs are protesting plans to place a Michael Jackson statue in Prague.
A group of fans plans to erect a two-meter (six-foot) column with a bronze bust of the King of Pop in Letna Park, where Jackson held a concert in 1996. They want to unveil it Aug. 29 to mark Jackson’s 52nd birthday.
City authorities have approved the project.
By Tuesday, more than 2,000 people had joined a Facebook protest claiming it makes no sense to put the statue in the park because Jackson had no connection with the Czech Republic.
“Michael Jackson — rest in peace, and leave our Letna alone!” one Facebook message said.
A Prague art gallery has proposed putting statue by a Czech contemporary artist there instead.
