No kid should grow up hungry

Join star chef Matt Selby of Vesta Dipping Grill and dozens of other Denver chefs and restaurants at this year’s Taste of the Nation event to benefit Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to fighting hunger. One price ($75), all the (awesome) food you can eat. July 18 at Mile High Station.

Happy Birthday, Susan Hayward

Melodrama queen Hayward won acclaim for playing a drunken diva in “Smash-Up: A Story of a Woman” (1947), an Oscar for her death row inmate in “I Want To Live!” (1958) and enduring camp cred in “Valley of the Dolls.” (1967). Hayward, who died in 1975, would be 93 today. How about a Death Row cocktail?
