The high-country destinations of Breckenridge and Aspen/Snowmass will be duking it out for top billing among the mountain bike masses as the second annual Breck Bike Week flows into the Mountain States Cup “Blast the Mass” races Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors are welcome to partake in any of the free elements of Breck Bike Week (today through Sunday), including high-end bike demos, guided group rides, bike-in movie nights, trail building, lectures, clinics, bike fits and tunes, kids’ races, daily Tour de France viewing parties and more.
The Snowmass event puts a decidedly more competitive spin on off-road riding with a full schedule of cross country, downhill and super D racing sanctioned by USA Cycling. The spectator-friendly event is free to the public. Racers must register online before 7 a.m. Thursday.
