DENVER—Gov. Bill Ritter is leading a Colorado delegation on an economic development trip to Israel with the aim of establishing partnerships in energy, clean technology, water and other fields.

Ritter’s office said Friday the group will be in Israel from Monday through July 18. They expect to meet with Israeli President Shimon Peres and others.

The Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado is sponsoring the mission, which is being underwritten by private contributions to the federation.

The delegation includes Ritter’s wife, Jeannie Ritter; Don Marostica, state economic development and international trade director; Tom Plant, state energy director; John Stulp, state agriculture commissioner; and officials from the School of Mines and Colorado State University.
