A 21-year-old woman was in serious condition Saturday after she fell from the back of a moving limousine and was rushed to a Denver hospital by helicopter, authorities say.

The woman’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.

The 53-year-old limousine driver was going west about 40 mph on Plum Creek Parkway just west of Ridge Road when he heard a noise around 2 a.m., said Kristin Zagurski, spokeswoman for the Castle Rock Police Department.

The woman, who was riding alone in the back, was gone and the door was open, Zagurski said. It was obvious the woman had fallen out of the vehicle, she said.

But at this point it’s a mystery how that happened.

The woman was flown by medical helicopter to a Denver hospital, where she remains in intensive care, Zagurski said.
