Three men held seven people hostage, beating six of them, and squeezing off shots from a handgun, during a robbery in the Applewood neighborhood early today.
No one was hit during the gunfire, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the circumstances of the incident at about 1 a.m. in the the 2000 block of Beech Court.
Investigators have not said what was stolen from the home.
Two of the men were described as white and about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds. One had brown hair and brown eyes. The other had black hair and brown eyes. The Sheriff’s Department said a third man was Latino, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
They face possible charges of attempted homicide, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, assault and menacing, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
