Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colorado, became the sixth lawmaker to declare that he’ll vote to confirm Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court when her name comes before the full Senate later this month.

Praising her intellect and demeanor, Bennet said that he had no doubt the former Harvard Law School dean would become “a model justice” with a touch for how the law impacts real lives.
