Not only did Penelope Cruz marry Javier Bardem, but they’re also expecting their first child, according to Life & Style.
Last night, Penélope’s rep confirmed she and Javier quietly married at a friend’s house in the Bahamas this month. It was an intimate affair, with only close family present. Penélope wore a dress designed by John Galliano.
A movie insider told Life & Style that the couple wanted to get married before their baby arrives next year.
The Spanish actress is currently filming “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth installment of the franchise, in the Bahamas. She’s playing the feisty daughter of Blackbeard played by Ian McShane, the nemesis of Johnny Depp‘s character, Jack Sparrow. “There’s a little romance between (Depp’s) Captain Jack and the character that Penélope plays,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer said recently.
Penélope, 36, and Javier, 41, first met while filming “Jamon, Jamon” in 1992 but turned their friendship into something more when they started dating in 2007. The two also starred together in 2008’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
The Spanish actress had previously dated actor Tom Cruise, ending their three year relationship in 2004. This will be the first marriage for both of them. Congrats to the happy pair!
Likewise, from wedding crashing to tying the knot, Vince Vaughn is facing the next big milestone in his life: becoming a dad.
The “Wedding Crashers” actor, 40, and wife Kyla Weber are expecting their first child, People reports.
“They’re having so much fun together and they’re so excited to be first-time parents!” a source told the mag.
Vaughn, who wed Weber in a small private ceremony in January, has said that he’s ready for fatherhood.
“It’s the first time that I really want to have kids,” he said last September. “I’ve been very fortunate in my career, and my life has been about that for so long that you get bored of it. You’re ready for your life to be about other people and other things.”
Just when we though we’d seen the last of Heath Ledger, a new piece of his creative work has emerged.
Not long before he died in 2008, he designed and filmed a video for his boyhood friend Australian-born rapper N’FA, who lives in London. Heath reportedly loved the haunting song and wanted to create visuals to enhance the experience. He and N’FA literally did the whole thing in his garage.
Ledger conceptualized the clip in his garage not long before his death in January 2008, and captured N’FA in spooky, Joker-esque makeup. Posted on YouTube in October 2009, the video has racked up over 277,000 plays.
“Heath loved the song, and wanted to make a video that artistically married itself to the energy of the track, to indulge listeners and viewers alike,” says N’FA, aka N’Fa Forster-Jones. “At the end of the day though, it was two old friends hangin’ out doing what we love. Good times.
“We had intended on releasing it a long, long time ago. But I didn’t feel comfortable doing so after Heath died. But friends and his family said it needed to be seen. Heath loved it,” he told the UK’s Daily Star.
The Los Angeles home that Marilyn Monroe was found dead in 48 years ago has gone up for sale for $3.6 million.
Located in the luxurious Brentwood suburb, the Spanish revival home comes complete with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an outdoor swimming pool.
The actress bought the property in 1962 for $90,000. She lived there for just six months before she was found dead in her bedroom from an overdose of barbiturates.
The one-story property, built in 1929, spreads over 23,000 square feet of property and is dubbed the ‘crown jewel’ of the neighbourhood.
It is located behind tall gates on a cul-de-sac and is advertised on the website of David Offer of Prudential California Realty.
The website describes the home as a ‘sprawling and very special,’ property, affording lovely vistas and great privacy and seclusion.
It is also in close proximity to San Vicente Boulevard with shops, restaurants and a Sunday farmers’ market.
Living room: Monroe lived in the house for just six months before her untimely death
Monroe died on August 5, 1962, at the age of 36. Her death was classified as a ‘probable suicide’ – but the possibility of an accidental overdose and even homicide have not been ruled out.
