Fire investigators determined that a fire in Westminster on Saturday was started by a child playing with a lighter.
Westminster fire and police responded to the 8200 block of Auburn Lane for a structure fire at about 4:50 on Saturday.
When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the home. An occupant told firefighters the fire was in the basement, and crews were quickly able to extinguish the fire.
The fire caused $90,000 in damage. One occupant suffered minor smoke inhalation and was treated and released on the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
