Riverfront Park Fashion Show

Saturday: This year, the sixth annual Riverfront Park Fashion Series spotlights “The One and Only,” a single don’t-miss show. There are pre-party festivities from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Mini Bar (2623 E. Second Ave.) and Zen go (1610 Little Raven St.) Registration starts at 4 p.m., and doors open at 4:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park (1590 Little Raven St.) Music and entertainment at 5 p.m. followed by Betsey Johnson, Gabriel Conroy and Sue Wong fashion shows featuring fall 2010 designs at 6:30 p.m. The after- party is 9 p.m. at Jet Hotel, 1612 Wazee St. Complimentary limo service from Mini Bar to Riverfront Park, 3:30 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $60, $75 for catwalk and $500 for tables. Proceeds benefit The Railyard Dogs, an organization created to raise funds for an off-leash dog park.

Through July 31: RIF and Macy’s have teamed up for the fifth “Book a Brighter Future” campaign to benefit local children’s literacy programs.
