In an emergency meeting Tuesday, the Timnath City Council unanimously voted to place the town manager on indefinite administrative leave while concerns about contracts and invoices are investigated.
Rebecca Davidson will be on indefinite leave from not only her position as town manager but from her post as the executive director of the Timnath Development Authority.
The five-member council supported the action after council member Bill Neal spoke about possible problems with invoicing, inadequate documentation, fair bidding and contracts over the last five years, said town spokesman Kyle Boyd.
“It’s a combination of all those issues,” he said. “It isn’t any one thing.”
The Chief of Police Sherri Wagner will be filling in for Davidson as executive director and town manager during the investigation.
Timnath, just south of Fort Collins on Interstate 25, grew almost 30 percent last year to reach a population of 631 people.
The council members and mayor have no comment about Davidson and are waiting to see the results of the investigation, Boyd said.
