The National Credit Union Administration announced Thursday that Security Service Federal Credit Union of San Antonio has purchased the failed Norbel Credit Union of Fort Collins.
Former Norbel customers should experience no interruption in service, and accounts are federally insured up to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.
Norbel, established in 1940, had about $120 million in assets and 16,098 members. It is the 11th federally insured credit union to fail this year.
