The aviation buff and co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing, NASCAR’s biggest multicar team, Roush survived his second plane crash Tuesday when his Beechcraft Premier business jet pancaked upon landing during the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture Show at a small airport in Oshkosh, Wis. Roush, who was flying the plane and suffered serious but nonfatal injuries, also crashed while piloting a small aircraft in 2002. He nearly drowned in an Alabama pond after intentionally landing the plane in water.
