DENVER—Thunderstorms rolling along Colorado’s Front Range have flooded some city streets and gusty winds in northern Colorado have toppled trees.
Areas stretching from south of Denver to northeast of the metro area got more than an inch of rain in about a half hour Friday evening. A lightning strike temporarily halted some southbound light rail service in the Denver area.
In southern Colorado, Pueblo got 1.5 inches of rain, closing some intersections because of flooding.
Wind gusts of more than 60 mph uprooted trees on the north side of Greeley.
