COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Three Colorado Springs men are in custody after a former serviceman was shot and killed.
Twenty-three-year-old Timothy Roath died Thursday when he was shot in the head at an apartment complex.
Police arrested 26-year-old Kirby Braithwaite and 29-year-old Anthony Swindle on suspicion of murder Saturday. A third man, 20-ytear-old Quenton Heard, is being held on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder.
Family and friends told The (Colorado Springs) Gazette that Roath was a former Army soldier from Lake City, Tenn., who served two tours in Iraq. Fort Carson officials said they couldn’t immediately confirm Roath’s service.
