Happy Birthday, Queen Mum

When everyone’s favorite royal died in 2002 at the age of 101, the 20th century was officially over. The Queen Mother scored enduring admiration for staying in London with her husband King George VI during the Blitz of World War II, saying after Buckingham Palace was bombed by the Germans, “I’m glad we’ve been bombed. It makes me feel I can look the East End in the face.” Let’s remember her with a Claret Cup.
