Patrons of two Grand Lake restaurants are being urged to get either immune globulin or hepatitis A shots following the discovery that a worker employed at both eateries has hepatitis A.

The two restaurants were identified as Sagebrush BBQ & Grill and Max & T’s Bar and Grill by the Grand County Public Health Department.

Officials emphasized that both restaurants have had very good inspection records and are cooperating in the investigation.

People should get the hepatitis A shots if they ate at Max & T’s between July 26 and July 30, or at the Sagebrush between July 24 and Aug. 3.

The patrons should receive the shots within 14 days from the date they ate at the restaurants.

Exposed patrons can obtain immunizations during the Grand County Public Health clinics scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Grand Lake Elementary School, 301 Marina Drive in Grand Lake. Howard Pankratz, The Denver Post
