Fashion illustrator Jim Howard did advertising campaigns for stores, agencies and cosmetics companies in the 1970s and 1980s. Today, he’s still at it, but creating mixed-media collages of drawings and art, as well as paper-doll art. His book, “Four Famous Dandies,” was featured earlier this month in The New York Times. Howard’s work — new and archival — will be on display Aug. 20-Sept. 17 at the Art Institute of Colorado’s John Jellico Gallery.
