Lindsay Lohan will be leaving Hollywood behind and moving back to New York, her mother says.
Dina Lohan said her daughter, who is currently in a drug rehabilitation program, said that while California is wonderful, “it’s a different game you play there.”
She also slammed Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel for playing “hardball” in her daughter’s case and revealed that Lindsay will get out of the rehab facility early.
Revel, who sentenced the troubled “Mean Girls” star to 90 days in jail and three months in rehab for violating probation, stepped down from the case last week.
The judge was reportedly pressured by prosecutors to remove herself from the case for repeatedly leaving them out of the loop.
Dina said that her daughter is doing “wonderfully” following her recent jail stint, where her mother said she even made friends with alleged murderers.
“Lindsay has rolled with the punches,” she said.
Dina also defended her childrearing, saying it is a parent’s responsibility to grant their kids freedom. She then said there was nothing wrong with her daughter and that she has grown up.
“I’m not condoning drinking and driving, but she’s still paying the price for what she did in 2007,” said the 47-year-old mother referring to Lindsay’s two DUI cases from three years ago.
Dina blamed many of her daughter’s problems on the media, saying the actress’ actions are unfairly judged.
After only 10 months of marriage, “Mad Men” actress Elisabeth Moss and “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Fred Armisen have called it quits.
According to Life & Style, the couple decided to go their separate ways back in May.
“Fred is currently in Portland, Ore. on the set of his new series ‘Portlandia,'” a source told the magazine. “Elisabeth is in LA focusing on her career and spending quiet time with friends.”
In October 2009, Moss, 28, and Armisen, 43, exchanged vows in front of family and friends at The Foundry in Long Island City.
Following rumors that the under-the-radar couple had begun dating in early January of that same year, the actress soon revealed they were engaged.
“It’s private, so I don’t want to share the details of how (Armisen proposed,) but I will say it was perfect,” Moss, who plays Peggy Olson on the hit AMC show, told .
This was the first marriage for Moss and the second for Armisen, who was previously married to English singer Sally Timms.
Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff are now officially husband and wife.
The actress, 22, and Canadian hockey player, 29, were married Saturday during an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif. The couple exchanged vows at the Mediterranean Villa La Quinta around 8 p.m under an arch of flowers and in front of about 100 guests.
The newlyweds spent their wedding night at the nearby historic San Ysidro Ranch, according to Us magazine.
The couple, who began dating in 2007, first met on a trip when they both visited a resort in Idaho. “We were all on the same plane and it was kind of, I guess, maybe a bit of a fluke. She calls it ironic. No I’m kidding!” he told Hockey Night in Canada in October. “It (was)one of those things where we were all in a group we spent the weekend all hanging out.”
Redmond O’Neal, the son of the late Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, has successfully completed a drug diversion program.
O’Neal’s graduation from the treatment program last week led to the dismissal of two felony drug-related cases, district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison said.
The 25-year-old will remain on probation for another two years for a case in which he brought drugs to a jail facility.
“Redmond put his nose to the grindstone and completed a very vigorous drug court program,” his attorney, Richard F. Pintal said Friday. “In the wake of that, he earned the two dismissals from Judge (Michael) Tynan.” The younger O’Neal has remained out of trouble since he was jailed for a probation violation in January. Tynan placed him in a drug diversion program a month later that the judge said would be “justifiably” severe.
Among the charges dismissed Thursday was a case filed after sheriff’s deputies found drugs at Ryan O’Neal’s home in 2008 while his son was on probation.
