LOS ANGELES — Mel Gibson was uninjured after he crashed his sports car into a Malibu hillside, the California Highway Patrol said.
Gibson’s 2008 Maserati careened off southbound Malibu Canyon Road on Sunday evening, the agency said.
Gibson’s spokesman, Alan Nierob, said in an e-mail that the 54-year-old actor-director, who was alone in the car, was doing fine.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol in the crash. Gibson cooperated with the agency and was picked up at the scene by a friend.
It was unclear how much damage Gibson’s car sustained.
